Intellias is looking for a skilled Tech Operations Engineer with good hardware equipment maintenance skills, to be responsible for maintenance and support of the testing of a set of devices related to automotive navigation systems. TechOps engineer should be ready for short business trips across Europe from time to time.
Requirements:
Telecom / Mobile Networks
Strong understanding of cellular network architecture difference (2G/3G/4G/5G)
Knowledge of VoLTE, SIP protocol, IMS architecture, and fallback mechanisms
Practical experience with roaming types, packet routing, APN configuration
Understanding of eSIM provisioning, activation, and profile switching
Proven experience analyzing/troubleshooting modem/network logs (attach failures, call drops, PDP context, etc.)
Testing & Debugging
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in QA, system validation, or connectivity testing
Proficiency in analyzing logs and identifying root causes across CAN, SIP, and diagnostics
Familiarity with QA metrics and experience using test management tools
Ability to create test documentation, metrics, reports etc.
Experience in Linux, ADB, command line
Strong analytical mindset, independence in problem-solving, and attention to detail
Additional Requirements
Valid EU driver’s license (category B) with 3+ years of driving experience
Availability to travel up to 2 weeks per month across Europe and occasionally to Asia, North and South America
Good communication skills and ability to work in an international, cross-functional environment

Knowledge of VW group tools & processes
Automotive / Vehicle Connectivity
Experience working with TCU, NAD, and telematics control units
Knowledge of eCall system functionality
Hands-on experience with registration and pairing procedures in connected cars
Familiarity with in-vehicle communication over CAN/CAN-FD, using CANoe and CAPL
Experience working with tools such as ODIS, CP-Tool, and IDEX
Knowledge of eCall regional legal requirements (EU, US)
Understanding of connected car architecture, including VIN, PKI infrastructure, certificate provisioning, and secure pairing
Installation and maintenance of hardware equipment in the laboratory or inside the cars.
Performing firmware updates and application installation procedures.
Performing coding, and calibration activities using CP-Tool after successful firmware update.
Implementing component protection VKMS via Fazit-ODIS.
Running manual Smoke and Sanity tests for installed applications.
Recording traces for defect analysis.
Producing Test Reports / Test Summary Reports
Figuring out and solving issues(Troubleshooting) related to HW and SW and solving the problems on-site.
Deliver broken hardware to the factory location and change it with new/refurbished hardware.
Create project documentation and maintain existing ones.
Reporting work results in Jira ticket.
Attending daily/weekly briefings & ceremonies.
Collaborating with client stakeholders, car manufacturer, or development teams.
Traveling at the request of the customer across the Europe.
Daily presence in the office or customer premises.
