Van Bus Driver

Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a shuttle van to transport children to and from school

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers

- Maintain a clean and presentable shuttle van

- Communicate effectively with passengers and provide information about routes, schedules, and fares

- Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely transportation of passengers

- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues

- Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and fuel consumption

Requirements:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Previous experience in shuttle driving, van driving, or delivery driving preferred

- Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers in a professional and friendly manner

- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required

- Knowledge of paratransit services and experience with commercial driving is a plus
