The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Welder to join Oxworks. The role is classified under ANZSCO 322313 – Welder (First Class), making it suitable for both local and visa-sponsored applicants.
The Role:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Welder’s primary focus is to:
1.Actively participate in the day-to-day activities of Oxworks welding and fabrication focusing on safety, quality, productivity and efficiency, ensuring all product is produced within approved tolerances
2.Interpret detailed drawings as generated in AutoCAD, TEKLA & EXCEL, and produce high quality finished product as per each work order issued
3.Achieve 100% DIFOT for the workday whilst minimising unnecessary errors and reworks
4.Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of machinery to assist up time of operations
5.Improve efficiency and reduce operating costs through accountability to standard operating procedures
6.Promote teamwork within the Manufacturing departments to ensure all staff are working to a common goal of exceeding customer expectations
7.Ensure compliance at all times in the area of Safety
8.Promote a harmonious environment with the Q1 Team to foster a positive and can-do approach to servicing the needs of Oxworks customers above the needs of a single department
9.Implement and execute directives that support the business strategy
In summary, the Welder is a key person in the Manufacturing process and is responsible for providing quality assurance to the Fabricated products and operations.
What you need:
1.Trade Certificate preferred but not essential
2.Ability to read and understand complex drawings
3.Experience operating and maintaining Welding machinery
4.Current Driver’s License
5.Current Forklift License (preferred)
6.Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)
7.Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment within manufacturing
8.Good communication skills.
