Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for assisting in a variety of machine department duties, with a primary focus on the preparation and arranging of freight. This position maintains a close working relationship with all areas of the business – sales, parts, service, and management and is expected to provide outstanding customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer, screen, and resolve incoming calls.
Arrange freight for incoming machine purchases, customer purchases, and rented machines.
Track and verify truck locations prior to delivery.
Communicate with customers, dispatchers and drivers regarding delays, issues, and updates.
Create freight purchase orders in NetSuite and issue to freight vendors.
Receive and approve freight vendor bills for accuracy.
Maintains a system to verify freight purchase orders have been billed and payed.
Communicate with Accounts Payable when freight bills are ready for payment.
Track freight cost and revenue for the Machine Department.
Maintain the Machine Department Fleet and Inventory Spreadsheet.
Maintain Equipment Records on NetSuite for accuracy.
Build and maintain long-term business relationships.
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED.
1-2 yrs experience in logistics, a must
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Advanced computer/data entry skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Previous dispatching experience preferred.
Experience within the heavy equipment industry is preferred.

This is an in-office position and the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
