Location: A city located in the south-central part of the state. It plays an important role in the region both historically and economically. This city is situated about 40 miles west of Detroit and 30 miles north of the state line with Ohio.
Facility: A 420-bed healthcare facility providing a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, including such specialty services as cardiac surgery, minimally invasive structural heart procedures, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and partial or total joint replacement.
Opportunity:
Accepting candidates who are TRULY Board Eligible (to become BC within 6 months) or Board Certified in Urology
Desired start date: ASAP with an approximate 90-day credentialing process
Schedule to include outpatient, inpatient, rounds, and clinic
Collaborative call rotation: 1:4 for sustainable work-life balance (to include some weekends)
Surgical and clinic schedule: Two dedicated OR days per week, 2.5 days in clinic.
Providers typically see 22 patients daily, including two new patients.
70-80 patients per day through the clinic.
Facility trauma level/designation: Level 2.
Skilled support staff: Includes Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs), five Medical Assistants (MAs), and front office staff.
On-site procedures: Equipment for disposable cystoscopies, vasectomies, BCG and Gemzar instillation, Uroflow and urodynamic studies, and prostate biopsies.
Streamlined consults: Only one hospital to consult, minimizing travel and simplifying workflow.
Focus on patient care: Highly collegial medical and administrative team ensures support for meaningful patient interactions.
Comprehensive services: Magnet-designated facility licensed for 420 beds, offering advanced services like cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, minimally invasive structural heart procedures, and Level II Trauma care.
Community commitment: Teaching hospital with a Graduate Medical Education program and Center for Health Innovation, partnering with local organizations to promote wellness.
