Contract Administrator (Full Time)
SALARY $100,000 plus superannuation per year
DUTIES
• Draft, review, and administer contracts, variations, addendums, and project agreements in line with company standards and client requirements.
• Manage all contract-related documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with regulatory standards, and timely execution.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and senior management to ensure project deliverables, budgets, and contract obligations are met.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, addressing contract-related queries and resolving issues to maintain project timelines.
• Monitor project performance, collect and analyse data on contract outcomes, and prepare reports for management review.
• Maintain a central repository of contracts and templates, ensuring all documents reflect the latest approved terms and conditions.
• Support tender submissions and contract negotiations, identifying risks and escalating for management and legal review where required.
• Ensure contract variations and amendments are accurately processed, documented, and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to compliance initiatives, including workplace safety requirements, by aligning contract terms with WHS standards and site protocols.
• Assist senior management with strategic decisions on contract administration and implement agreed actions to optimise project delivery.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in contract administration, project coordination, or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods, terminology, and project documentation requirements.
• Strong background in preparing, reviewing, and managing contracts, variations, and compliance documentation.
• Previous experience in a Health & Safety Officer or WHS compliance role, with the capability to incorporate workplace safety standards into contract administration processes, will be highly regarded.
• Proven ability to liaise with Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve contract and project objectives.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and sound decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to quickly adapt to contract management software (e.g., Procore or similar).
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of Australian commercial and legal frameworks related to head contracts and subcontractor agreements.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with a professional appearance and eagerness to learn and grow within the company.
