Technical Sales Engineer - Data Center Business

Job Responsibilities

Act as the technical point of contact for clients during the pre-sales phase, understanding customer requirements and proposing optimal solutions.

Collaborate closely with the business development and sales teams to design and present technical solutions aligned with client needs, including power, cooling, rack layout, and connectivity infrastructure.

Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations, and RFP/RFI responses for prospective clients.

Conduct site visits, technical walkthroughs, and assessments to identify opportunities and validate client requirements.

Liaise with engineering, operations, and construction teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of proposed solutions.

Support customer onboarding and handover to operations, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation.

Provide technical training and support to internal sales staff and channel partners on data center technologies and offerings.

Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor solutions in the data center space.

Participate in trade shows, technical conferences, and other marketing or customer engagement events.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solution architecture, preferably in the data center, cloud, or IT infrastructure industry.

Strong understanding of data center components such as power systems, cooling, IT racks, cabling, security, and network infrastructure.

Proven ability to translate technical features into business value propositions.

Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and client engagements simultaneously.

Professional certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, Uptime, Cisco, VMware) are a plus.

Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
