PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES
The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the receipt of all incoming materials. This includes verifying deliveries, inspecting shipments for accuracy, coordinating with vendors and internal departments, and maintaining accurate records of all received items.
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate incoming shipments, unload trucks, and check in merchandise
Match purchase orders to sales orders and process transactions in the system
Generate daily reports on items received and outstanding material issues
Label materials with part number, quantity, and date received
Open containers (bales, crates, etc.) safely and efficiently
Sort and place items in designated storage areas, maintaining FIFO practices
Keep warehouse organized, accessible, and safe for all personnel and visitors
Record received/distributed materials via computer system or documentation
Process customer requests and incoming materials within 48 hours (e.g. rejected materials, cycle counts, sales samples)
Assist Quality and Material/Production Teams as needed
Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives
Wear proper safety equipment and maintain a safe working environment
Operate forklift safely and according to guidelines
Uphold 5S standards for orderliness and cleanliness
Follow Galvion policies and procedures
Carry out other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Fork lift operator license preferred; will provide training.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Six (6) months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic knowledge of computer systems and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, email platforms)
Familiarity with standard office equipment (e.g., printers, scanners, barcode systems) and their software interfaces
Ability to navigate digital file systems, including saving, retrieving, and organizing documents.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be good with numbers and capable of writing legibly.
Ability to work with minimum of supervision, including prioritizing of work.
Military experience is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT (include physical requirements)
Frequent use of hands for handling materials, operating tools, and performing detailed tasks
Required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds along with aility to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing work environment
