Six month, contract-to-hire position
Day Shift position
Pay Rate: up to $30.00 per hour (based on proven work history)
Job Description of the Crane Repair Technician:
Must have a Crane Operator License and additional training will be provided
THIS IS NOT A CRANE OPERATOR POSITION, THIS IS A REPAIR TECH ROLE
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to work weekends and holidays
Ability to work nights on occasion
Have reliable transportation
Could work 50+ hours a week on occasion
Will work at heights (Station is 30ft. off the ground)

Key Responsibilities of the Crane Repair Technician are:
Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, inspections, and cleaning to keep cranes in optimal working condition
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and identifying the root cause of crane malfunctions, whether mechanical or electrical
Repair: Repairing or replacing damaged parts, components, or systems to restore crane functionality
Inspections: Conducting thorough inspections of cranes to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
Safety: Adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations when working with cranes and other heavy equipment
Problem Solving: Identifying and implementing solutions to various crane-related issues
Skills and Qualifications required of the Crane Technician:
Strong knowledge of crane operations and maintenance: Understanding of crane mechanisms, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Mechanical aptitude: Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
Electrical knowledge: Understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical faults
Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex problems
Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to crane operation
Physical stamina: Ability to perform tasks that require physical exertion, such as climbing and lifting
Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and clients
Types of Cranes:
Crane technicians will work with:
Overhead cranes: Used in industrial settings for lifting and moving heavy loads within a building or facility
Articulating personal lifts: Used to gain access to the overhead cranes. To include scissor style and boom lifts
