Summary:

Responsible for developing and supporting internal applications that automate manual tasks, improve business workflows, and enhance data visibility across departments. This role supports the bank's growing need for custom web-based tools and integrations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and develop internal web-based applications to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Build secure, full-stack tools that support workflows, enhance data access, and streamline reporting.

Replace scripts and manual tasks with browser-based tools that include logging and access controls.

Convert repetitive internal processes and manual scripts into efficient, web-based tools that improve consistency, enhance accessibility, and provide better tracking across departments.

Develop and use APIs to connect internal systems, third-party services, and cloud platforms.

Write and optimize SQL queries that support application functionality and reporting.

Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify goals, and translate high-level or evolving ideas into clear, actionable technical solutions that align with bank objectives.

Document application logic, workflows, and user instructions to support maintainability, training, and consistent use of internally developed tools.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across front-end, back-end, and database layers.

Follow secure development practices, including proper input validation, access control, and error handling, while adhering to change control procedures to ensure application stability and compliance.

Collaborate with the IT team to align development with internal priorities.

Support users, gather feedback, and enhance tools as needs evolve.

Assist with internal and external IT audits by preparing documentation, demonstrating application controls, and ensuring developed tools meet compliance requirements.

Assist supervisor in all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical course work

Three (3) years of work experience in a similar position preferred

Familiarity with relational databases, APIs, and version control systems

Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skill

Experience in regulated environments preferred
