A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Staff Shop Sales Assistant to join our Staff Shop at Knowsley. As a member of the Shop Team you will report directly into the Warrington Store Manager. You will join a team who pride themselves on high standards of customer services.
As a Staff Shop Sales Assistant you will have experience of working in a customer facing role. You will have excellent communication skills with a good knowledge of Health and Safety best practices. You will enjoy working in a team and will thrive when delivering an excellent shopping experience.
Salary: £12.41 per hour
Shift: Monday & Tuesday 11:00am - 16:00pm working 10 hours per week
As a staff shop assistant, you will be responsible for;
Customer Service
To attend to customer requirements promptly, courteously and efficiently thereby building a high degree of customer loyalty and repeat business
To effectively & efficiently respond to customer enquiries, resolving customer issues where possible at first point of contact
To provide a positive image of QVC to every customer in line with the QVC brand & values
To answer any customer telephone enquiries
To promote sales by way of merchandising and product knowledge
Cashier Duties
To process sales & refunds through the stores epos system
Maintain the security of the cash register
Ensure the till drawer is counted prior to store opening and any discrepancies reported to store management
Maintain and complete all necessary documentation for refunds, sundries & voids
To disposition customer returns to the correct channel
To inform staff & management of any security issues using the stores pa system
To maintain good housekeeping behind the tills ensuring there is no product left on the floor
Stock Room Duties
To receive deliveries ensuring the correct documentation is present
Prepare and manifest all returns to go back to Knowsley
To check, price & make good for sale all products received on pallets and record any discrepancies
To maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping, ensuring all fire escape routes are kept clear
Merchandising
To ensure all product is clearly ticketed displaying the correct information
Reporting & recording any damaged goods, not fit for sale
To ensure the correct positioning and the information held on POS material is relevant to the product
Maintaining a high standard of store cleanliness, appearance and hygiene in order to promote a good image to the customer
To face & tidy the area of the store designated by the supervisor on duty
To ensure the product from the stock room is brought onto the sales floor timely and displayed in the correct area
General
Being alert to any potential security issues and reporting any suspicious behaviour
To undertake such training and attending courses and workshops which will assist in the development of skills and expertise in this area. This includes attending a QVC Difference course or refresher when required to do so.
To undertake any other such duties of a similar nature that may be assigned by the store management
To adhere to designated breaks & lunches
When clearing any rubbish to ensure it is disposed of in the correct recycle bins
Health and Safety
To report any accidents to the stores first aider
To ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and followed on a daily basis.
To adhere to the stores policy on the sale of prohibited items
To record any health & safety issues via the health & safety check list
Customer facing retail store experience is essential for this role.
