McCool Transportation Management LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will assist with routine financial tasks, maintain accurate records, and help ensure smooth day-to-day financial activities within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and record invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Reconcile bank statements and company credit card transactions
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial filing systems
• Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities
• Prepare basic financial reports and assist with data entry
• Help monitor and track transportation-related expenses
• Provide administrative support to the accounting and logistics teams
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred)
• 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
• Good organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
• Experience in transportation or logistics industry is a plus
