Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field, active Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification, and 1+ years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opening is for a full-time Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education, serving K-12 students across multiple sites within a district in Rozet, WY. The role offers a contract position for the 2025-2026 school year, providing a unique opportunity to work district-wide and impact students with diverse communication needs.
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Travel to and provide services at multiple district schools throughout the week, ensuring consistent support and progress monitoring.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and implement appropriate accommodations.
Assess student needs and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with best practices.
Communicate regularly with students, families, and educational teams to promote student success and advocate for accessibility.
Stay current on trends and strategies related to Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Certification in Special Education with an endorsement or qualification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Experience working with students across the full K-12 spectrum.
Ability to manage travel requirements efficiently and maintain flexible scheduling.
Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
Knowledge of assistive technology and auditory-visual learning methods.
Location:Rozet, Wyoming approximately two hours north of Casper, WY, with district-wide travel to multiple schools.
