Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Columbus, OH, this contractual full-semester position offers an opportunity to provide specialized support to K-12 students with academic, social, or behavioral needs. The role involves developing and implementing individualized learning plans tailored to each students unique challenges and strengths.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess student needs through observation, data review, and collaboration with educators and families
Develop and implement tailored interventions to support academic achievement, behavioral improvements, and social development
Monitor student progress regularly and adjust strategies accordingly
Facilitate effective munication among teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote coordinated support
Maintain accurate documentation related to student plans, progress, and meetings
Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative decision-making processes
Desired Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education
Experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and legal requirements
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
Excellent munication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
