The Check-In Receptionist is responsible for all aspects of patient registration and check in. This member of our fast-paced orthopedic practice will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to patients and visitors.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Complete patient registration and check in process, verifying insurance benefits
Obtain necessary referrals
Collect and post patient copays and payments
Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
Scheduling appointments
Assists patients as necessary. Contacts appropriate parties for transportation.
Managing payment batches and submitting daily balance sheets
Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition
Assists patients with electronic kiosks
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to project a professional image with a strong sense of ethics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills
Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills. Education and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged standing and/or periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
