Senior Associate Attorney/Special Counsel – Cyber, Data & Privacy Litigation

Locations: New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, DC

Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel with extensive experience in privacy, data security, and consumer protection litigation and investigations to join a premier Cyber/Data/Privacy (C/D/P) practice group. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to work on high-profile regulatory enforcement investigations and data privacy class actions at an internationally recognized firm.Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions involving consumer protection, data privacy, and cybersecurity (e.g., State AG, FTC, and other agencies).

Defend data privacy and security class actions, including claims under the Stored Communications Act, wiretapping laws, and data breach statutes.

Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

Engage directly with tech-focused clients and manage complex projects.Qualifications:

7+ years of experience handling regulatory investigations and/or litigation involving privacy and cybersecurity.

Expertise in consumer protection laws, data breach litigation, and privacy class actions.

Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.

Tech fluency and ability to work with clients in technology-driven industries.

Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and client engagement skills.Compensation & Benefits:
