Description:

The Journeyman Operator shall perform 24/7 operational support to the government by performing tasks required to search, detect, identify, intercept, and locate signals of interest using the most appropriate sensor and geolocation technique available. JO-INDIAs mentor less experienced Operators in order to enhance and reinforce the Training Program and Operational TTPs.

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Equivalent of four (4) years full-time combined cryptologic language processing, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience

Performance at skill level 2 in audio translation (per the ILR Audio Translation skill level descriptions) from the required language(s) into idiomatic standard American English

Performance of the following tasks constitutes acceptable cryptologic language experience:

Within Cryptologic Operations, scanning and sorting/categorizing foreign language materials

Recovering essential elements of information producing and performing quality control of gists, translations and transcripts; compiling and updating operational working aids and databases; and drafting intelligence reports

Oral interpretation, written translation, audio translation, audio transcription, document exploitation that involves gisting/translation and teaching the required language.

Target development, network analysis, speaker identification, language

identification, and document exploitation that involves sorting/categorizing/language identification.

Compensation Range: $75,395.86 - $127,592.99

Compensation ranges encompass a total compensation package and are a general guideline only and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, candidate’s scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and alignment with local market data.
