Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Tender / Cost Estimation:
Ø Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for MEP systems.
Ø Conduct site visits to inspect actual conditions and prepare site visit reports, initial scope, BOQs, and associated cost estimates.
Ø Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and minor civil works, including materials, labor, overheads, subcontractors and equipment.
Ø Develop and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on design/tender requirements.
Ø Coordinate with procurement and suppliers/subcontractors for market-accurate quotations.
Ø Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tenders (RFPs/RFQs).
Post-Award / Quantity Surveying & Cost Control:
Ø Review awarded contracts and scope to develop budgetary controls aligned with project targets.
Ø Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking sheets.
Ø Coordinate with the project execution team and assist in defining technical specifications and project scope aligned with cost benchmarks.
Ø Monitor and validate work progress to support monthly valuations and prepare Interim Payment Applications (IPAs).
Ø Prepare and certify subcontractor bills and progress claims based on site execution and verified measurements.
Requirements:
Education:
ü Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience:
ü Minimum 4–6 years of combined experience in estimation and quantity surveying roles for MEP works in the Qatar/GCC region.
Technical Skills:
ü Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
ü Proficient in MS Office Package, AutoCAD, Visio, MS Project and estimation software.
Qualifications:
ü UPDA Certificate and Kahramaa License is highly preferred
ü Knowledge of Qatar authorities' standards (Kahramaa, QCDD, Ashghal, QCS, etc.)
ü Experience in Construction Works and Facility Maintenance
ü Valid Qatar Driving License is an added advantage.
