The Role

Our Lagoon Street site is situated in the Bega Valley Shire and is the original site of Bega Cheese. Located on the beautiful Sapphire coast, far south coast of NSW, Lagoon Street is still producing Australia's favourite cheese products – cheddar cheese, string cheese as well as butter.

We’re seeking a passionate Continuous Improvement Manager to execute and implement the One Bega Excellence Operating System focusing on accelerating performance, best practices, and capability build.

This position has a small team and is responsible for all the business excellence activities across the site. Work as part of, and closely with, the site leadership team to prioritize and deliver the CI program across, Safety, Quality, and Cost as part of our strategic plan. If you have a strong CI background and are looking for a role to make and influence change, this could be the role for you!

This is a permeant full time role working Monday to Friday during operating hours.

Responsibilities

Lead the deployment of the Bega Excellence Operating System across the site

Drive a culture of continuous improvement through coaching, mentoring, and structured problem-solving

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities

Deliver measurable outcomes in safety, quality, cost, and efficiency

Build Continuous Improvement capability across all levels of the site

About you

Proven manufacturing experience, ideally within the Dairy or FMCG industry

A deep understanding and practical application of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Strong change management skills to support transformation and build long-term capability

Proficiency in structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis techniques

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
