Stuart Olson is searching for certified Electricians to join us for project work in Joffre, Alberta.
Responsibilities
Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
Pulling cable/wire through conduits and cable trays
Installs, replaces, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and related electrical equipment
Cable glanding and Terminations
Point to Point verifications to ensure integrity and safety of installations
Ability to work off ground, with ladders, scaffolding and AWP
Ability to measure, cut, fab and install cable trays
Installation of heat trace, and heat trace components
Installation of light fixtures, junction boxes and miscellaneous pieces of equipment ranging in various weights from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
May perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Certified Journeyman Electrician
Must have project/construction experience; ideally working in a Petro Chemical facility
Driver's License or valid government-issued photo ID
Completion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and Lockouts
Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities
Positive attitude towards safety
Ability to work collaboratively
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Required Safety Tickets
CSTS-20
Arc Flash is required
Fall Arrest an asset
Confined Space an asset
Aerial Work Platform an asset
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, working outside in all kinds of weather
Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
Ability to lift to 25kg
Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
