What you will do:

You will travel throughout the state to install, maintain, calibrate and evaluate traffic monitoring permanent counting equipment.

You will analyze traffic data using specialized software and equipment to ensure data quality and act as a liaison between field operations and central data processing team.

You will support Traffic Monitoring section improvement by investigating emerging technologies and participating in research projects

You will coordinate directly with contractors to manage Traffic Monitoring permanent equipment construction/maintenance and adhere to project specifications and standards.

MINIMUM CLASS QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT:

24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in planning & conducting research studies using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or

statistical research techniques & preparing reports, records &/or technical evaluations related to research conducted.

-Or 12 mos. exp. as Researcher 2, 66922.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
