Responsibilities:
Uphold the Nurtur Core Values and Behaviors and Aveda Success Factors
Demonstrate a strong understanding that the salon/spa industry is "high touch" and requires strong interpersonal skills and attention to the needs of others
Create team fun & interactive incentives to help the team reach sales goals.
Train and develop the Guest Experience & Nurtur Professional teams to be a high-performing sales team.
Serve as a role model by exemplifying professionalism, integrity, and positivity, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Have a deep understanding of retail sales strategies and create coaching sessions and training courses to develop these skills in others.
Maintain a cohesive, cooperative work environment through team building and motivation
Work with marketing team to implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones
Drive salon sales by implementing effective promotions, service offerings, and customer loyalty programs
Lead the team in maximizing retail sales by coaching staff on product knowledge and upselling techniques
Analyze financial reports to monitor salon performance and identify areas for improvement
Assist in initiatives related to developing coaching materials to drive sales
Ensure the salon operates efficiently and meets its performance goals
Sustain a welcoming, well-maintained, and environmentally conscious salon space
Interview, hire, and train team members in procedures, policies, and expectations
Resolve customer complaints and challenges, and provide solutions for team disputes
Provide ongoing recognition, support, and motivation to salon team members
Engage with clients to ensure exceptional experiences and address any concerns
Maintain all safety, security, and technological standards and identify and communicate potential problems, issues, and challenges to Leadership immediately
Participate in Aveda and Nurtur events including career fairs, marketing events, Earth Month, Beauty for a Cure, etc.
Perform all duties as assigned and/or required to meet business needs
Abide by all other Nurtur policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and Code of Conduct
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Retail experience required; experience in the beauty industry highly preferred
Comfortability in executing and closing sales
Exhibit initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work at a fast pace in a "high touch" environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrate professionalism in manner, dress, and conduct
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
Strong commitment to customer service excellence and to the Company's mission and vision
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Walk, stand up, and/or sit for up to eight (8) hours per day
Use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms
Walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, speak, and hear
See a computer screen and read paper and electronic documents
Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds
Tolerate a minimal to moderate noise level typical of a school setting
