Strategy Manager Operations & Supply Strategy

We are happy to invite applications for the position of Strategy Manager – Operations & Supply Strategy, to be based at one of our manufacturing sites in Poland or Hungary (Gniezno / Namysłów / Fertőd). This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping our global operations and supply strategy and supporting critical business decisions.

At the VELUX Group, our Operations & Supply organization comprises around 8,000 colleagues worldwide. We support VELUX’s global value chain consisting of approximately 8.000 employees across our manufacturing sites, Logistics, Quality, Supply Engineering & Product Introduction, etc.

Your Role

As Strategy Manager, you will report to the Director of Strategy & Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within Operations & Supply, and you will work from one of our sites in Central and Eastern Europe. The Strategy & PMO team’s core purpose is to guide and lead the transformation of Operations & Supply by facilitating the overall 5-year strategy process, managing the project portfolio, and leading execution of strategic projects. The team is growing and evolving, as it currently consists of six members.

In this role, you will support the Executive Vice President (EVP) for Operations & Supply, as well as senior leaders and cross-functional teams, in identifying, analyzing, and solving complex strategic challenges. Your contributions will be central to developing and executing our strategy, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As Strategy Manager, your key tasks will include:

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop project proposals and business cases, clearly defining objectives, deliverables, plans, required resources, and risks.

Leading and facilitating the strategy process through workshops and cross-functional collaboration to define the strategic direction for Operations and Supply

Supporting the Director and VP of Strategy in preparing executive presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

Monitoring and reporting on the progress of strategy process and strategic initiatives across the Operations & Supply function

Taking on project management responsibilities for high-priority strategic initiatives when needed.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will likely bring:

Experience in management consulting, a corporate strategy team, or as a project manager implementing strategic transformation projects (preferably within manufacturing)

Exposure to a global production and supply chain environment.

A well-developed toolbox in project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communication.

Proficient strategic thinking and business acumen to engage with and support senior leadership.

Highly skilled analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to decision support.

Clear and compelling communication skills – you’re able to simplify complexity and build compelling narratives that secure buy-in at all levels.

Proficient stakeholder management capabilities – you build trust and align across diverse teams and functions.

A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Engineering, Supply Chain).

Fluency in written and spoken English.

Willingness to travel approximately 40 days per year

Certifications such as PRINCE2 or similar project management qualifications (preferred but not mandatory).
