People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in East Midlands Gateway, Derbyshire.

33 days holiday once permanent (dictated by factory shutdowns)

Day to Day Duties:

Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently to make 3 - 5 trunk runs a day

Curtainside work

Make on time deliveries

Communicate with the transport team

Follow company policies and procedures

Comply with driving rules and regulations

Strapping loads correctly (awkward loads)

Essential Skills:

Hold a valid UK Category CE licence

Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card

Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles

Maximum of six penalty points for minor infringements with no major endorsement codes

Work in a professional manner

Excellent communication skills

Desirable Experience:

Experience in strapping abnormal loads would be beneficial as well as navigating tight delivery depots

Training

You will be required to pass a driving assessment before attending a three-day company programme

Industry related training and support throughout
