The Epic Professional Billing (PB) Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the Epic Professional Billing application. This role supports revenue cycle operations by ensuring accurate and efficient billing workflows, resolving system issues, and providing end-user support and training. The analyst collaborates with clinical, financial, and IT teams to ensure the system meets organizational goals and regulatory requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build, configure, test, and maintain the Epic Professional Billing module.
Analyze current billing workflows and design Epic solutions to optimize revenue cycle processes.
Collaborate with operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Epic configurations.
Support implementation and upgrade projects, including testing, training, go-live support, and post-live stabilization.
Perform system audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and incidents related to Professional Billing.
Create and maintain documentation including build specifications, workflows, job aids, and training materials.
Provide on-call support or after-hours assistance as needed.
Participate in cross-functional teams and project meetings to support organizational initiatives.
Serve as liaison between IT and revenue cycle departments to ensure seamless system performance.
Monitor and evaluate system performance, ensuring optimal functionality and data integrity.Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Epic certification in Professional Billing (or ability to obtain certification within 3 months of hire).
2+ years of experience with Provider Billing, Insurance Payers, CPT coding, etc.
Knowledge of CMS regulations, coding standards, and payer billing requirements.
Strong understanding of revenue cycle operations and healthcare billing practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Epic HB (Hospital Billing) or other Epic modules a plus.
Previous experience with EHR implementation or optimization projects.
2+ years of experience supporting Epic PB or similar billing systems in a healthcare environment.Skills and Competencies

Primarily seated at a computer onsite located at South Central Regional Medical Center
May involve sporadic evenings or weekend work (approximately 2-4 times per year)
May involve occasional lifting of files or office supplies (up to 15 lbs.)
Frequent interaction with operational staff and providers at both South Central Regional Medical Center/Clinics and the Community Connect Partners.
