As Infrastructure & Security Director for our client, a global manufacturing enterprise, you will define and enforce infrastructure and security standards across all sites—from corporate data centers to local factory floors. In this strategic role, you’ll build a governance and audit framework, drive compliance with global policies, and ensure resilient, scalable infrastructure that supports 24/7 manufacturing operations. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of network, security, and virtualization experts to elevate our digital defenses and operational uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement a global infrastructure and security strategy that aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Establish governance, audit processes, and compliance reviews for local-level factories, ensuring adherence to ISO 27001, NIST, or equivalent frameworks.
- Oversee network architectures, firewalls, and perimeter security to protect manufacturing data and systems from internal and external threats.
- Manage on-premise servers, datacenter operations, Nutanix clusters, and virtual machine environments to maximize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and compliance teams to integrate advanced security controls into all infrastructure projects.
- Develop and enforce policies, standards, and guidelines for configuration management, patching, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Lead and mentor infrastructure and security teams—network engineers, security analysts, system administrators, and technical support—fostering expertise and collaboration.
- Establish KPIs for availability, security incident response, audit findings, and cost optimization; regularly report on performance to senior leadership.
- Drive budget planning, forecasting, and ROI analysis for infrastructure and security investments, balancing capital and operational expenditures.
- Act as a trusted advisor to factory and corporate stakeholders, translating business needs into secure, high-availability infrastructure solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 7 years managing infrastructure and security in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on expertise with network design, firewall management, on-premise servers, datacenter operations, Nutanix hyperconverged platforms, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong background in security governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR).
- Proven success leading global, cross-functional teams and managing audit programs in a large enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP/CCIE, Nutanix NCP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing systems availability requirements and industrial control system security challenges.
