Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. This is a Contract-to-permanent position offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure, with a focus on scalability, security, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to meet business needs.

• The ability to maintain high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency of cloud resources.

• They will Manage virtual private clouds (VPCs), networking configurations, security groups, and load balancers.

• This person can develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools such as GitHub Actions.

• Said candidate will create infrastructure-as-code using platforms like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

• Automate provisioning, deployments, and configuration management processes for cloud environments.

• Establish and manage systems for patching, logging, alerting, and performance monitoring.

• Implement proactive monitoring solutions to ensure performance, availability, and security.

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize the cloud platform for developer productivity.

• Support incident response activities, including root cause analysis and performance optimization.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps roles.

• Expertise in working with at least one public cloud provider such as AWS or Azure.

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipeline management.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.

• Experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible and AWS technologies such as Auto Scaling and EC2.
