Administration Assistant - Waste FacilityWhat we are looking forWe are seeking an experienced Administration Assistant to join Council’s Waste Facility team.

As part of this team you will provide administrative support for the Waste and Environmental Services Area and to provide exceptional customer service in the delivery of information, support advice and help in line with Mid-Western Regional Council’s corporate and strategic goals.This is an exciting opportunity to work with an ever-changing dynamic team within the Mid-Western Regional Council.This role is a full-time, based on site at Mudgee Waste Facility.The salary range being offered for this full-time position is $2,498 - $2,813 gross per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $64,963 - $73,138 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).Key AccountabilitiesProvide High level administrative support to the Waste and Environmental Services team.Assist in scheduling, organising meetings, and preparing correspondence.Assist in creation of purchase orders and processing invoices, requests, or permits.Prepare agendas and take minutes at meetings.Support team with document control and filing systems (electronic and physical).Assist in allocation and tracking of works requests and ELO correspondence to meet the target turnaround times,Keep records of recycling sold and prepare monthly invoices for recycling product sales.Provide relief to the weighbridge operator, Gulgong Waste Facility Attendant and Kandos Waste Facility Attendant as needed to allow staff to attend training or for other unforeseen circumstances.Maintain noticeboards for the Waste and Environmental Services.Compile and keep records of income from Recycling shop, Café and Ironed Out.Administer site safety for the waste area including Chemwatch and first aid kits checks.Regularly audit paid collections against collections runs to identify discrepancies.About Mudgee:The Mudgee Region is blessed with outstanding tourist delights, investment opportunities and lifestyle attractions, all just 3.5 hours from Sydney.
