Assistant Coordinator, Summer in the Arts (Part-time)

Job Overview

This part-time position provides assistance to the Lead Coordinator of the Summer in the Arts Program.

Roles and Responsibilities

The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; work may differ and other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate.

Select, create a schedule for and lead a group of 25 high school students (interns) in supporting Summer in the Arts

Create a plan which includes assigning duties for parent and bus drop off and pick up

Coordinate fire drills with school safety personnel

Collaborate with staff on producing the Arts Explosion

Assist Lead Coordinator with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.

Education

Must hold a valid Virginia teaching license endorsement in the assigned instructional course
