Software (JAVA) Developer_Analyst

Must be willing to work on-site at Dahlgren Naval Base 4+ days/week.

Precise Systems, Inc. seeks a Java Developer to perform duties associate with developing software for TTWCS as part of a Scrum team. This includes software design, implementation, test, documentation, and defect analysis, as well as CI/CD pipeline development.

Duties:

· Automated test applications developer role:

· work with a Scrum team to implement requested features, perform causal analysis, and resolve defects

· development and maintenance of CI/CD pipeline

· update and maintain user documentation

· Analysis of alternatives research role:

· work with a Scrum team to develop prototypes for a set of middleware options using a provided plugin framework

· use the provided framework to analyze and evaluate the middleware options (for example, latency and throughput)

· document difficulties with the implementation and track effort involved

· contribute to a final report detailing the analysis

Desired Education:

· Bachelor’s level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science.

Desired Experience:

· A minimum of five (5) years' experience with JAVA and Linux software development

· Significant experience using Java or JavaFX in a professional setting

· Familiarity with the use of Linux as a development and target platform

· Knowledge of git or GitLab for version control

Preferred Experience:

· Familiarity with the development and employment of CI/CD pipelines for automated build and test

· Proficiency with C++

Must hold and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
