Job Title: Material Handler

Job Responsibilities:
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Load and unload materials, goods, and products from trucks, containers, and storage areas
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
• Perform inventory counts and reconciliations
• Inspect materials for defects or damage and report any issues
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Assist in the receiving process by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders
• Stack and store materials in designated areas according to established procedures
• Use warehouse management systems to track inventory and update records
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment
• Participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventories
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned
Skills Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one
• Basic math and computer skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if needed
• Team-oriented mindset
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Basic understanding of safety practices in a warehouse setting
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
• Time management skills to meet deadlines and productivity goals
