Salary: $110,000.00-130,000.00 USD

INODE is a leading information technology (IT) professional services Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, business intelligence, and data science services for federal, state and local organizations. We are seeking a NetApp Storage Administrator III to support the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of its hybrid storage infrastructure. The primary objective of this role is to provide end-user support, configuration, maintenance, backup, and optimization of the FTCs NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO) and NetApp Keystone solutions. As a Storage Administrator, you will ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability through proactive monitoring, incident and service request resolution, performing backups, and recommending infrastructure improvements. This position requires deep expertise in NetApp technologies and a strong understanding of hybrid cloud storage architectures. This is a full-time, hybrid (onsite/remote) position based in Washington, DC, with occasional travel (up to 10%) to other locations.

Job Requirements:

Must be able to obtain a US Public Trust Clearance

Have an active IAT Level II or higher certification preferred

Available to work remote/hybrid Monday-Friday varying hours

Available to report onsite at minimum 3 days every month and as requested

Experienced in NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO), Keystone, BlueXP, and SnapCenter technologies

Oversee data center operations and administrations of the NetApp storage systems, including on-premises FAS and AFF series, and CVO systems; configure, manage, troubleshoot, and ensure availability of systems as per industry standards

Administration of NetApp ONTAP, troubleshooting performance issues, performing firmware and OS upgrades, using storage management and monitoring tools (AIQ, AIQUM), managing storage/backup integration within the Data Infrastructure

Proficient understanding of NetApp storage concepts, protocols, and related storage technologies, including cloud backup, replication technologies, security hardening, and performance tuning

Proficient in developing and maintaining superior technical documentation

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Storage

Strong understanding of both file-level (CIFS/SMB, NFS) and block-level (iSCSI, NVMe, Fibre Channel) storage protocols, including their underlying transport mechanisms (TCP/IP, Fibre Channel, and NVMe-over-Fabrics)

Manage, monitor, and validate NetApp data protection, including snapshot, SnapMirror, SnapVault, replication, and cloud backup data protection technologies

Participate in incident, change, and problem management in accordance with ITIL practices

Knowledge of Windows, Linux, VMware, and Hyper-V Operating Systems technologies

Document and provide recommendations to enhance infrastructure design, build processes, and deployment practices, with a focus on improving reliability, scalability, uptime, and overall system stability

Positive, proactive, team-oriented attitude with a flexible and innovative approach to work

Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Perl for automation and task management

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma/GED or higher

10+ years in an IT related field

7+ years of experience in NetApp Administration

Working knowledge and understanding of networking and best practices is desired

Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions

Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate is desired

NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) certification or Hybrid Cloud Administrator (NCHCA) preferred

Solid customer service and communication skills are critical as well as the ability and willingness to communicate effectively and appropriately in an empathetic and understanding manner
