Lead and support various phases of data center projects, with a primary focus on preconstruction activities such as budgeting, cost estimating, value engineering, and constructability analysis.
Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates based on conceptual layouts, schematic designs, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project estimates are complete, competitive, and aligned with scope.
Review design documents to identify cost risks, opportunities for savings, and overall project efficiencies.
Deliver cost proposals, budget breakdowns, and value engineering suggestions to clients and key stakeholders.
Participate in team meetings and support the project team throughout all stages of preconstruction.
Stay informed on current industry pricing, construction trends, and market conditions.
Help improve and maintain standardized preconstruction procedures, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
7–10 years of estimating experience, preferably on data center or mission-critical projects.
Skilled in construction estimating software (such as RSMeans, Timberline, or WinEst) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with clients, consultants, and project teams.
Able to handle multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
Familiarity with sustainable construction methods and LEED credentials is a plus.
