Key Responsibilities:

Review and abstract inpatient medical records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes in accordance with official coding guidelines.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and maintain documentation integrity for hospital billing.

Meet or exceed industry benchmarks for productivity and coding accuracy (95% or higher).

Work within major EHR platforms, especially EPIC and Optum CAC (preferred).

Collaborate with internal quality and compliance teams to support best practices.Requirements:

Certification Required: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS (AHIMA).

Experience: At least 3 years of inpatient facility coding experience in a hospital setting.

Preferred: Experience with trauma centers (Level I or II) or teaching hospitals.

Technical Proficiency: EMR and encoder experience; EPIC and Optum CAC preferred.

Assessment Requirement: Must pass a pre-employment coding exam with 85% or higher.

Position Details:

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Location: Fully remote – U.S. only.

Employment Type: W-2 Employee.

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay (based on experience); not charts-per-hour based.
