Title: Data Entry Specialist - Vital Records (Contract) - Job#5650
Location: 100% Onsite - (hybrid eligible after training)
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support operations within the Vital Records division. This role is responsible for the accurate entry and verification of information in internal systems, logging and tracking sensitive documentation, scanning and indexing paper-based records, and assisting with customer support functions. The ideal candidate will have strong PC and typing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment. Additional responsibilities may include basic data capture tasks, maintaining documentation logs, and providing backup coverage for similar administrative positions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform data entry into the DAVE and DocuWare systems with a high degree of accuracy
• Track and log vital records and associated security paper to prevent unauthorized use
• Scan and index paper-based documents using imaging and correction techniques
• Review, validate, and verify entered information for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with customer support inquiries related to records or application issues
• Maintain detailed logs and records in accordance with operational procedures
• Complete forms within set timeframes and meet weekly keystroke output goals
• Support miscellaneous administrative tasks and serve as backup to similar roles
• Conduct basic data mining and capture efforts for assigned projects
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify visual and system-based data
• Proficiency with basic PC operations and data entry tools
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Familiarity with scanning equipment and basic image correction techniques
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience working in a secure, regulated environment
• Knowledge of data input best practices and quality control standards
• Familiarity with document imaging and indexing software
