Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Supported Living Scheduler will be responsible for the formulation of schedules, taking call offs during business hours (8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday), revising schedules according to the call-offs, and responsibility for the coordination of PTO requests.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Works directly with Residential Managers and Site Supervisors in order to create location schedules. Must maintain the correct staffing ratios for compliance and for adherence to budgets. Uses scheduling software system and references the IPs of the people served for this task.
Receives phone calls for employees calling off from work. Takes down pertinent information for managers and HR. Communicates with the managers and uses scheduling software in order to find a trained replacement for the vacancy created by the call off.
Processes PTO requests from staff approving/denying based upon the rules defined in the union contract. Sends approved/denied requests back to staff in a timely fashion and communicates any approved absence with management. Uses scheduling software in order to find a trained replacement for the vacancy created by the approved PTO.

Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing

Preferred Education and Experience
One year experience in field of developmental disabilities preferred
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
