NCUHS is looking for a part-time school Behavior Interventionist.
The Behavior Interventionist assists in supporting several students on behavior plans and collects behavior data.
This is a school session, 6.5 hours per day, three day per week position.
Specific Position Requirements/Qualifications: Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work effectively within a team environment and a willingness to participate in training opportunities; ability to collect, manage and work with a team to reflect on data.
Having a strong physical stamina, positive energetic attitude and a willingness and experience to work with students is a must.
Candidate must an Associate’s degree, preferably in education, human services, or a related field, and a minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in working with students who have significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Candidate must also be certified in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or get certified upon hire.
Specific Responsibilities: •Implements behavior plan •Collects data.
•De-escalates student in crisis •Manages behavioral contingencies and provides reinforcements for student on behavioral plans •Attends scheduled professional development to expand knowledge and expertise.
•Collaborates with team members Salary & Benefits: Salary will be based on experience and benefits are per the support staff collective agreement.
Salary range is currently $20.00 to $23.00 an hour, depending in previous experience.
