CNC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with Mastercam experience to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs to ensure efficient and accurate machining of parts using Mastercam software. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, hands-on machining experience, and thrives in a collaborative production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Program CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) using Mastercam to produce parts to exact specifications.

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models to create accurate machining paths.

Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds to maximize efficiency and part quality.

Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to ensure programs meet production and tolerance standards.

Revise and optimize existing programs to reduce cycle time and improve tool life.

Set up and test new programs at machines and troubleshoot issues during initial runs.

Maintain organized documentation of programs, setups, and process notes.

Ensure all programming and machining processes comply with safety and quality guidelines.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in Mastercam (required); familiarity with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software is a plus.

Strong understanding of G-code/M-code and CNC machine operation.

Knowledge of materials (aluminum, steel, plastics, etc.) and proper machining techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
