Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I to support our client’s medical facility based in Jacksonville FL 32257

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title - Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift

Location: 5298 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville FL 32257

Schedule: Mon-Fri 630a-330p.

Mandatory Saturday rotation 7a-12p. 35-40 hours per week. No Overtime

Duration - 06+ months with possible extension

Pay Range: $17.75 to $19.75/hr

Responsibilities:

Perform blood draws and collect specimens (blood, urine, fecal) as required.

Explain specimen collection process to patients clearly and courteously.

Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes for accuracy.

Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as needed.

Review and confirm physician orders and test requisitions.

Ensure 100% accuracy when checking specimen labels and requisitions.

Update patient information in the system.

Record maintenance and decontamination activities.

Store specimens according to required conditions and temperature.

Package specimens for transport to the lab.

Follow infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

THREE years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.

Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.
