Compensation: $100-$120K

Job Summary

Playboy is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our growing IT Infrastructure team. This role will provide Tier 2 support, maintain critical systems and infrastructure, be responsible for all onboarding and offboarding and assist in IT compliance and documentation efforts. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled and service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to contribute to meaningful digital transformation. This is an “in office” position at our Playboy HQ in Westwood.

What You’ll Do - Job Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

Server and Network Support:

Monitor and troubleshoot servers and networking infrastructure using Meraki, PRTG, and Unifi consoles.

User Account & Identity Management:

Administer and manage accounts, groups, and access policies in Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure IAM) with support for SSO integrations.

Tier 2 Systems and Application Support:

Resolve system-related incidents and escalated help desk tickets; coordinate with vendors and internal teams on more complex issues.

Infrastructure Maintenance:

Perform hands-on support in the data center and across IT infrastructure, including cabling, wireless access points (WAPs), and physical server migration.

Documentation & Knowledge Management:

Maintain and contribute to internal IT documentation, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides using Jira and Confluence.

IT Security Compliance:

Assist in enforcing IT security best practices, perform internal audits, and support documentation needs during external compliance reviews.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with senior leadership, application teams, and support staff to improve infrastructure, implement IT projects, and ensure uptime and reliability.

What You’ll Bring - Qualifications and Skills

5+ years of experience in a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role

Strong working knowledge of:

Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure IAM), and Group Policy

Meraki, PRTG, and Unifi networking platforms

Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware and workstation environments

AWS, JAMF, Office 365, SharePoint, Intune, and Microsoft Defender

Experience supporting and maintaining physical infrastructure (data center, WAPs, structured cabling)

Familiarity with ITSM tools and documentation platforms such as Jira, Confluence, and Snipe-IT

Understanding of IT security compliance practices and audit processes

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

Ability to multitask and adapt to rapidly changing priorities

Passion for technology and a proactive, collaborative mindset

Able to work flexible hours based on business needs.

Must have unrestricted access to work in the U.S.

Bonus Skills (Preferred, but not required)

Experience with EntraID, AWS, JAMF Pro, G-Suite, and CloudM

Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)

Microsoft, Cisco, AWS or other industry certifications (e.g., MCSA, Azure Fundamentals, CCNA)

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $100,000 - $120,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
