Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available, focused on a self-contained Life Skills classroom at the high school level. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students with unique learning needs, providing specialized instruction and fostering an inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction to students in a self-contained Life Skills classroom.

Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with special education laws.

Manage student behavior effectively, applying behavior intervention plans when necessary.

Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to support student development.

Participate in ARD meetings and other pliance-related activities.

Maintain organized records and municate progress regularly.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited university.

Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Special Education (EC-12).

Strong knowledge of special education laws, ARD processes, and IEP implementation.

Experience with or knowledge of Life Skills programs.

Demonstrated ability to manage student behavior and implement behavior intervention plans.

Excellent organizational, munication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and related service providers.

CPI or similar crisis intervention training is preferred.

Location: Spring Branch, TX

This role is ideal for educators passionate about supporting students in special education settings, particularly within Life Skills curricula. The position runs through the next school year on a contractual basis.
