Network Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area! This role involves hands-on technical work, coordination, and leadership in managing network transitions, configurations, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations across remote sites and contribute to ongoing network optimization efforts. Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute network migrations at remote sites, including scheduling and working with cross-functional teams.

• Perform physical installations and configurations of network equipment, ensuring operational readiness.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related tickets, collaborating with the voice team when necessary.

• Lead the lifecycle management of network hardware, including replacing switches and other equipment.

• Configure and maintain Cisco routing and switching technologies as well as Citrix NetScaler systems.

• Utilize IP control tools to manage and optimize network performance.

• Occasionally work during evening hours to meet project demands or resolve critical issues.

• Proven experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.

• Familiarity with DHCP and IP control tools.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues effectively.

• Flexibility to work occasional evening hours based on project requirements.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal ramp-up time.
