Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to lead key initiatives within the energy and natural resources sector. This long-term contract position is based in Houston, Texas, and offers the opportunity to manage complex projects while driving innovation in a dynamic industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Agile methodologies and IT project management to ensure the successful delivery of objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring milestones are met within scope, budget, and timeline.

• Apply Agile Scrum principles to optimize team collaboration and project execution.

• Oversee IT project management activities, including planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation.

• Utilize Atlassian Jira to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain transparency across project stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with organizational objectives.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in project management.

• Facilitate regular status meetings to provide updates and address challenges proactively.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in project delivery.

• Mentor and guide team members in adopting Agile practices and methodologies.

• Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support project reviews and audits.• Proven experience managing projects within the energy or natural resources industry.

• Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and their application in project delivery.

• PMP Certification or equivalent is required.

• Expertise in IT project management, including technical and process-driven projects.

• Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for tracking and collaboration.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
