Battery Engineer
Ann Arbor, MI On-Site Contract
Full-Time $32 - $36 per hour

Were seeking a hands-on and forward-thinking Battery Engineer to support innovative energy solutions and emerging technologies in the North American market. This Battery Engineer role is ideal for someone passionate about EV systems, stationary battery energy, and next-gen energy storage testing and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct market research to understand current and emerging battery technologies in North America
Develop simulation strategies, proof-of-concept models, and business proposals for new product launches
Evaluate system-level software using SILS (Software-in-the-Loop Simulation) and HILS (Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation)
Create and lead test and evaluation plans for battery systems including facility requirements
Conduct system-level testing and validate results
Collaborate with component suppliers to verify performance and functionality
Lead or support UL, SAE, ISO, and IEEE certification testing processes
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
1+ years experience in system development such as stationary battery energy systems, V2X systems, or EV charging systems
13 years experience designing test plans and evaluation setups
Knowledge of EV components and systems
Experience with hardware component development, system validation, and performance testing
