We are seeking compassionate, non-judgmental, and highly empathic individuals to join our specialized medical team as a Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Operation PAR’s Medication Assisted Patient Services (MAPS) program on our NEW Mobile Unit within the community. The LPN will arrive to work at the MAPS Hernando Location at 1245 Kass Cir Spring Hill at 5am and travel on the mobile unit at 5:30 to either the Hernando County Health Department or the Hernando County Jail and arrive back to the MAPS Hernando location at the end of day for end of day procedures.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides nursing care to patients in an outpatient, substance use disorder treatment setting on our NEW mobile unit within the community. Works with the mobile unit practitioner and case manager within the community at the Hernando County Health Department and Hernando County Jail
Administering patient assessments, evaluations, and screenings on our mobile unit within the community.
Dispensing & administering medications (e.g., methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, naloxone)
Providing patients with health care education.
Medical charting & documentation.
HOURS/SCHEDULE:
M-F 5:00 am- 1:00 pm
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATIONS:
Florida Nursing License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to manage time and resources
Ability to speak coherently and convey concepts
Computer proficiency required
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
Ability to write accurately and legibly
Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
Ability to bend, stoop and reach
Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds
Good hearing and vision
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver's license or state ID card.
Must pass a level II background check and drug screen.
