Job Summary

The maintenance and Grounds Keeper participates in the maintenance of the facility grounds, systems and equipment by completing preventative maintenance. Assists to efficiently maintain and organize maintenance operation activities to ensure safe and efficient operations of the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrate correct ground keeping skills and procedures.

Projects warm and caring attitude.

Demonstrates correct use and care of equipment.

Demonstrates correct equipment maintenance.

Demonstrates Safety Awareness.

Complies scheduled tasks in a timely manner without supervision and provides all duties requested.

Qualifications

Ability to read and communicate verbally.

Basic computer skills.

Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions.

Must have Valid Mississippi Driver’s License and be insurable by the hospital’s vehicle liability policy.

Education and Experience

Prefer High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

Physical demands during a normal shift: Sit, Stand, Walk, Drive, Lift, Squat, Bend, Kneel, Reach, crawl, carry.

Climbing a ladder, climbing stairs, walking on rough ground, distinguishing colors.
