We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Cycle Counter to join our warehouse operations team within a high-paced food manufacturing environment. The Cycle Counter is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels by performing daily cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and assisting in maintaining inventory accuracy throughout the facility. This role is critical to maintaining inventory integrity and supporting production and order fulfillment processes.
Responsibilities
Perform regular cycle counts on raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods using SAP/Neptune.
Record inventory data accurately using SAP/Neptune.
Coordinate closely with Procurement, Production, Warehouse and Quality Assurance teams to align inventory with production schedules and compliance needs, including material destructions.
Complete daily inventory reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented and compliant with company procedures and food safety standards.
Follow FEFO principles to ensure proper rotation and minimize product waste.
Help prepare for and support annual physical inventory counts.
Perform monthly indirect material reconciliation.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
Comply with all health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ years of warehouse or inventory control experience; experience in food manufacturing preferred.
Familiarity with WMS/ERP inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Neptune).
Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
Working Conditions/Environment
Works primarily in an office environment, with 25% or less time in a manufacturing environment, where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Requires some lifting of moderately heavy items such as file boxes. May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. The employee may periodically be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment. The noise level in the office is moderate and loud in the plant. Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
