The Los Angeles, CA office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking a Cash Receipts Live Checks Clerk with legal experience. The C/R Clerk position performs duties and functions but not limited to the handling of incoming mail, calling clients for payment information of unidentified checks, but also performs other various tasks as assigned by the C/R Manager.

Responsibilities
The following list of essential functions is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned in addition to those listed. The items listed are considered daily functions associated with this position.
Handles all incoming mail, including from other offices.
Responsible for researching to obtain more payment information of unidentified check(s).
Responsible for barcoding checks that are ready for processing.
Responsible for scanning all checks that have been entered to the system.
Responsible for ordering supplies for the A/R Department.
Responsible for making copy of checks for deposit, only if needed.
Responsible for boxing up and organizing prior month check copies
Responsible for searching for checks and answering queries if the check is received by the office.
Reliable, consistent attendance in the office.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Highschool diploma or equivalent
Organization and prioritization
Experience with lockbox a plus
Attention to detail
Problem solving
Ability to complete work on schedule
Familiarity with accounting programs
Basic understanding of principles of accounting
