Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. Since 2005, we have grown to become one of the largest surface mines in Australia, whilst continuing to foster a culture underpinned by safety, achievement, flexibility and teamwork to improve the skills of each and every person on the mine site every day. About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrician to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Maintenance team and reporting directly to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Effectively and efficiently operating and monitoring equipment to facilitate achievement of plans and targets.

Participate and contribute to our proactive safety culture.

Maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values

Achieve targets in a timely manner.

Identify, assess and control workplace hazards.

Complete planned maintenance activities and respond to breakdown situations in a timely and pro-active manner.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

You are a trade qualified Electrician with a current Queensland Electrical Licence.

You have previous mining experience, would be advantageous.

Understand the companies high regard for safety and hold the same values.

Enjoy working in a team environment with a positive attitude, reliability and a passion for your trade.

Familiarisation and understanding of relevant legislation and experience in open cut mining and previous experience within the coal industry;

Proven problem-solving and fault finding skills, you will be successful in driving continuous improvement of site processes and systems.

Excellent safety mindset with the ability to positively influence the culture at Rolleston;
