Role Overview
We're hiring for three development tracks in Fort Wayne, all reporting to the Director of IT:
RPG Developer
C#/.NET Developer
Java Developer
You'll work daily alongside network specialists, PC techs, cybersecurity experts, and field engineers to build, enhance, and support mission-critical applications.
Core Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable code
Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize legacy and modern codebases
Implement integrations (APIs, message queues, file feeds) between core systems, third-party platforms, and mobile interfaces
Participate in code reviews, QA cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives
Write and update SOPs, technical documentation, and release notes
Provide occasional after-hours support for system upgrades or critical incidents
Track-Specific Qualifications
RPG Developer
1+ years designing and maintaining RPG/ILE applications (Baseline Softane experience a plus)
Familiarity with IBM iSeries architecture, DB2 file structures, and CL scripting
Experience building or consuming RESTful APIs on IBM i platforms
C#/.NET Developer
2+ years in C#/.NET Core application development
Experience with distributed systems, SQL Server, and API design
Optional: UI framework experience (React, React Native, Flutter)
Java Developer
2+ years in Java SE/EE development
Proficiency with Spring Boot (or similar), Maven/Gradle, and relational databases
Experience creating and securing RESTful web services
Cross-Track Skills & Attributes
Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and debugging abilities
Clear, service-first communication-comfortable briefing both technical and non-technical audiences
Collaborative mindset in multi-disciplinary teams: network, infrastructure, supply chain, and field operations
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (relevant experience accepted)
